Star-boat accelerating to speed in small waves. Iniatially, the leeway is larger, diminishing as the boat picks up speed. You can also see how the boat slides sideways when slowed down by each wave. The simulation is performed with the real sail forces more or less pointing to the side of the boat, yet the boat moves forward as it should, thanks to the keel, skeg & rudder.
