This is two thirds of a set of premature Nubian dairy goats reared by one of our senior does, Galaxy. The vet told us that if they are born 3 weeks early, they would not survive because their lungs are not developed enough.
The first kid died about 15 minutes after birth, despite the best efforts to keep him alive. We presumed and braced ourselves for the next one to suffer the same fate. Oh, by the way, we were expecting two kids from the ultrasound.
The second and third came and Kris did an AMAZING job invigorating the two kids, who are most definitely alive today because of her efforts and relentless love and dedication to the animals we raise.
