[ Ссылка ] - Amazing Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 wristwatch, automatic and with ref. 1018, in steel, made in Switzerland in 1965 and very well preserved. This is an iconic model designed by Hans Wilsdorf (founder of Rolex) to be used by elite athletes who were record breakers. The first person who wore a Rolex Oyster was Mercedes Gleitze, who crossed the English Channel in 1927 with one in her wrist. After 10 hours into the water, the movement remained dry and in perfect condition. The watch which can be seen in the photographs is a steel automatic model from the same series, with reference 1018 and 26-ruby 1530-caliber movement. Though it has not been tuned or cleaned, it is in good condition and works really fine.
The watch preserves the original acrylic-glass pane. At the lower edge there is a tiny crack, quite difficult to appreciate to the bold eye. Under it, the silvery dial shows a discreet and stylish design, with the Rolex logo and the model name at the 12 position. The crown bears the embossed brand logo too. At the case, between the lugs of one of the straps we can see the serial number #1270127 engraved in the metal. If we remove the rear cap, both inside it and in the movement we will find several references and numbers which give us information about the watch: the reference, the caliber and the number of rubies. The movement is beautiful and is greatly preserved, very clean and working like the first day. The watch is provided with no case or documents and the strap has been renewed, but it is a 100%-original model which any collector or expert will be able to recognize.
This gorgeous Rolex Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 wristwatch, automatic and with ref. 1018, is an iconic model in perfect working order. A stylish piece, perfect for those who appreciate the most discreet luxury.
