"Our work with advisory boards is part of a capacity building program, which aimed to equip advisory boards with an arsenal of skills so that they can operate on the missions they are assigned according to the law." Said El Mostafa Essaadi, Consultant in Participatory Democracy Mechanisms.
The USAID Morocco ISED-BMK Project supported 40 communes in the transparent creation of advisory boards, followed by a capacity building cycle and coaching sessions. As a result, 20 advisory opinions were drafted, and 11 of which were successfully submitted, shedding the light on the needs of youth, women, and people with disabilities, and informing decision making.
