As I arrived home from work my husband tells me he could use my help in the barn. He informs me a calf was born in the mud to a 1st time mother. The calf was born premature, weakness in legs, Cold and wet. The mother shows some interest by humming to it and licking on it some. We have decided to tube it to get colostrum down it. Colostrum is the first milk it receives and is import for a healthy life and needs within a few hours of being born for best survival rate. The mothers milk has not come in as she was not ready to have a calf.
