In this video, I present three 78 RPM album sides from the Dizzy Gillespie Orchestra featuring Chano Pozo. Accompanying the music are photos from Wikimedia Commons and also text quotes from Raúl Fernández; I relied on his "Latin Jazz The Perfect Combination/La combinación perfecta" in developing this. I have also included some original album art of the 78s--Manteca and Cubana Be/Cubana Bop (on RCA Victor).

Digitized at 78 revolutions per minute. Four stylii were used to transfer this record. They are 3.5mil truncated eliptical, 2.3mil truncated conical, 2.8mil truncated conical, 3.3mil truncated conical. These were recorded flat and then also equalized with Turnover: 400.0, Rolloff: -12.0.
