Ojai Valley News video by Kimberly Rivers
A group of mostly Ojai Valley residents seeking a ceasefire resolution demand the right to speak during public comment at a special meeting of the Ojai City Council. State law allows the council to restrict public comment to subjects only on the agenda for a special meeting. Regular meetings must include public comment on general topics under the council’s jurisdiction.
Due to the act of civil disobedience the council ultimately adjourned to closed session to interview candidates for city manager.
