Seeing the wastes:
OVERPRODUCTION - 4 people generate old toothbrushes
INVENTORY - deciding to keep the TOO MANY of those old toothbrushes around
TRANSPORTATION - moving each of those pieces to the yellow collection cup instead of recycling them or simply throwing them away
DEFECT - lack of basic understanding of the 8 wastes of lean
OVERPROCESSING - when correcting the defect
EXCESS MOTION - overprocessing ALWAYS involves excess motion
WAITING - another process is waiting to be performed/analyzed/improved while wasting time dealing with the previous wastes
Genius/Intellect/Skills/Talent - definitely UNDER-UTILIZED prior to this improvement and I could have been doing something way more valuable to me
