Well it was time to get out for the first perch session of the river season. The aim was to try and get one over 2lb, but in the summer that can be quite tricky! I was using aggressive shads hitting the slack areas. It didn't help when the weed cutting started, but that seemed to push the bigger fishing into the margins as id soon find out!
