Madeline Kingsbury, Adam Fravel's girlfriend and mother to his 2 children, disappeared in March 2023, and her body was found in June near a property tied to Fravel's family. Prosecutors presented evidence of domestic abuse, including threats and prior violence. Fravel was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder in November 2024 and faces a mandatory life sentence,. The family of Maddie Kingsbury wrote letters to Judge Nancy Buytendorp requesting the sentencing be streamed for public view. The sentencing is set for December 17, 2024 in Blue Earth County.
