Defence Minister Peter Dutton and his Labor counterpart Brendan O’Connor “both landed blows on each other” during the National Press Club defence debate, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“Peter Dutton, he went in pretty hard, didn’t he,” Mr Clennell said.
“I think they both landed blows on each other, but Labor does have a weakness in this area because they cut defence spending last time in office.
“It was nine years ago.”
