This rendition of Sadhinchane in Raga Arabhi by the Malladi Brothers is part of the Pancharatna Kritis composed by the 18th century saint-composer Sri Thyagaraja. The Panchratna kritis are a set of five kritis sung in praise of Lord Rama. They are set to Adi Tala and each raga represents the mood of the song and the meaning of its lyrics. All the kritis are composed in the style of a Ragam Tanam Pallavi, with the charanams substituting for the kalpana swaras in the pallavi section. The Malladi Brothers, Sreeram Prasad and Ravikumar, are musicians of international repute. Born into a musical family, they received their early training from their father the vocalist, Malladi Suri Babu. Later, they came under the tutelage of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Nedunuri Krishnamurthy. The Malladi Brothers have mastered a large repertoire of Carnatic compositions and are known for their vibrant and powerful voices.
