Law enforcement agencies from around Central Georgia gathered Tuesday afternoon at the Macon City Auditorium to pay their respects as fallen Bibb County Deputy Christopher Knight was laid to rest. Knight was fatally stabbed and another deputy was injured in a fight with an inmate at the Bibb Law Enforcement Center last week. In the program were reflections from Macon-Bibb Sheriff David Davis, Macon-Bibb Mayor Lester Miller, Knight’s best friend Tyler Smith, and Knight’s co-worker Lt. Chance Eady.
