Video teaser for a film about Zechner & Zechner Architects' project TRANSPORT HUB at the Graz Hauptbahnhof.
This is a raw video material for a short documentary film about the project at the Railway Station in Graz. The architecture designed by Zechner and Zechner Architects is a visually strong architectural entity that works as a symbol for a much broader area. The circular shape of the roof is derived from a necessity to protect main communication lines and to be a shape that conveys thousands of people commuting at this important multiple crossroad each day, on different levels, between different means of transportation: bus, train, tram, pedestrian and car or bicycles. The roof as the most prominent feature of the complex urban and architectural project is commonly named as GOLDEN EYE.
The film will show different aspects of the project, including conversations with the architects, the investors and planners from the city of Graz, and representatives of some companies involved in the project. The project will be presented as a part of a larger project of urban redevelopment around the Central Railway Station.
The film will be a part of the international video exhibition AUSTRIAN ARCHITECTURE TODAY that will present the most relevant architectural design conceived and built in Austria in recent years.
