This is a video presentation on research into the different measures of women's economic empowerment used in the Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) program. This study was undertaken by Dr. Sonia Laszlo and Dr. Kate Grantham from the Institute for the Study of International Development at McGill University. The GrOW program is a multi-funder partnership between the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the UK’s Department for International Development and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. It is a five-year research program on women’s economic empowerment, focusing on the barriers poor women face, how economic growth can promotes women’s empowerment, and how women’s empowerment can promote growth.
