Teacups are a powerful tool to express and coordinate your body.
Beyond being just a warmup or "mobility tool", they can help you understand the coordination between spine and scapula, act as a rhythmic tool, an improvisation, and a movement snack to nourish your body during the day.
Here is a quick introduction to progressions to the teacup and how I like to use them.
1. One handed internally rotated teacup (wide circles - easiest, tight circles - hardest)
2. One handed externally rotated teacup
3. Two handed internally rotated teacup
4. Two handed externally rotated teacup
5. Uni directional two handed teacup
6. Alternating teacup
7. Improvisational teacup
