Shooting the AR 57 full auto submachine gun

This is honestly one of my favorite platforms to shoot, and I wanted to redo the video that I made a while back. The AR57 company is no longer in business, but when they were, they made complete rifles, carbine length upper receivers, and a short barreled receiver as well. The full auto bolt carriers were made in a small batch and I was lucky enough to get two of them. This platform allows for the ease of operation and functionality of the M16/ AR15 platform, while allowing the use of the 5.7x28mm NATO cartridge with P90/ PS90 magazines. The gun is incredibly flat shooting and the longer barrel length gives the round a bit more muzzle velocity than the short barrel of the P90, increasing its effective range to about 450 meters. It fires at a rate of fire of about 750 rounds per minute, and the spent casings eject down through the magazine well making it a great gum for both right and left handed shooters.

There have been some new AR platforms made by different companies chambered in the 5.7 cartridge to come out on the market in recent years, but this configuration is my favorite and is always a pleasure to bring to the range.
