To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the death of the great American tenor, Richard Tucker (August 28, 1913 - January 8, 1975), here is a rare recording of the veteran artist in recital. This rendition of "O Paradiso" from Meyerbeer's L'Africana (complete with spoken introduction) was recorded during a recital given by the tenor in Brookville, NY on March 25, 1972. Alexander Alexay accompanies at the piano.
