Eddie Oliver is a friend of the Branch Davidian survivors and a military veteran. In Part 6, he expresses his view that on February 28, 1993, that ATF agents shot first to kill the dogs next to the front door. The original plan was to spray fire extinguishers at the dogs to keep them away. He states that the movie that was recorded after the ATF raid and while the siege was on-going, In the Line of Duty: Ambush in Waco starring Tim Daly (first aired on NBC on May 23, 1993), is government propaganda. He encourages people to watch In the Line of Duty and compare it with the Waco 6-part mini-series that aired on the Paramount Channel in 2018, based in part on David Thibodeau’s book and on the book by retired negotiator Gary Noesner. He states that In the Line of Duty was written based on government reports. He refers to the initial report of ATF agent Roland Ballesteros saying that ATF agents in cattle trailer #1 got out and shot the dogs, and it spooked the ATF agents in cattle trailer #2, who shot at David Koresh when he opened the door with hands up saying we have women and children in here hitting Koresh and Perry Jones standing behind him, which spooked the agents from trailer #1 who started shooting toward the building. Eddie Oliver has spoken with Branch Davidian survivors separately; they say that there were about 5 or 6 Branch Davidian men in the foyer behind the front door; they returned fire after Koresh and Perry Jones were shot, then about 20 guys ran upstairs and grabbed guns. A team of ATF agents put ladders on the chapel’s outside wall to climb up and enter into David Koresh’s rooms through second-floor windows. Eddie Oliver states this occurred 10-15 minutes into the firefight on the ground. He states as a veteran, if you are moving forward ten to fifteen minutes into a firefight, you are securing an objective; you’re not being ambushed, as the agents claimed afterwards. Those ATF agents were advancing to secure an objective knowing that they were going into a gunfight. Eddie Oliver asks: When have you heard of a group of people ambushing law enforcement agents and calling 911 at the same time? He points out there were two 911 calls from inside the Branch Davidians’ residence. Wayne Martin’s 911 call is well known from the documentaries, but David Koresh called 911 also.
