Carnasserie Castle is located in Kilmartin Glen, Argyll and Bute, and is the 16th century home of The 5th Earl of Argyll, Archibald Campbell. It was built for him by Bishop John Carswell and was one of Scotland's first Renaissance castles which were built for style and luxury over defence. Join me as I explore the amazing ruins.

Further down Kilmartin Glen finds Scotland's most concentrated number of neolithic sites in one area with ancient ruins dating back over 5,000 years. Tombs, standing stones, stone circles, carved rocks and art litter the area showing just how important it was to our ancestors. I haven't fully explored this area yet and can't wait to return to see it some more.
