Join me on my 10 hour layover at Frankfurt Fraport Airport. Frankfurt is among the best cities for transit/layovers when planning a trip due to robust transportation between the airport and City Center, and most sights being accessible within a walking radius.

My Frankfurt Airport layover itinerary was as follows:

1) Arrive at Frankfurt
2) S-Bahn S8 or S9 to Hauptwache Station
3) Walk west to Alter Oper
4) Back east to Zeil street until Konstablerwache
5) Walk back west to MyZeil shopping area
6) Walk south to Frankfurt Stadesampt
7) Explore the nearby Frankfurt Römer area
8) Walk south until the Main river bank
9) Cross via the iron footbridge
10) Explore the south bank and cross back north
11) Head back to Zeil street via Kaiserdom Cathedral
12) Return to Hauptwache Station
13) Take S-Bahn S8 or S9 to Airport Departures.

This itinerary is valid for layovers of 8+ hours. Be prepared to walk 5-7 kms to achieve this walking tour of Frankfurt City Center by foot.
