How To Measure LED Current With A Multimeter For Accurate Resistor Calculation
Measuring the actual current that passes through an LED is important. It allows you to accurately determine the value of the resistor that you should use with your led.
The technique shown in this video allows you to confirm the labeled specifications for an LED batch and to determine the specifications for LEDs that you have gotten but for which you have no specifications. If you use Christmas light leds, this is particularly important.
