India's leading Jail Reformer Vartika Nanda's recent book, Tinka Tinka Dasna, is a true report from inside the jails. An amalgamation of media and literature, the book creates space behind bars for the enlightenment and creativity of the inmates and aims to rekindle hope among them. Another salient feature of this book is the poem composed by two prisoners convicted in the infamous Aarushi Talwar murder case. Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in their poems have penned their experiences, which has so far been turbulent.

Presenting to you the adaptation of the song by a young, upcoming artist, Naila Grewal. She holds a PG Diploma in Advertising and PR from IIMC and a Bachelors degree in Journalism from Lady Shri Ram College For Women. Being an avid theatre enthusiast, she has done theatre throughout school and college, leading up to her foray into films wherein which she has acted in Tamasha by Imtiaz Ali, Dear Maya by Sunaina Bhatnagar and most recently Bareilly Ki Barfi by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari where she plays, Babli.
Dr Vartika Nanda’s domain expertise lies in journalism - its teaching, practice and training. The then President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee conferred the Stree Shakti Puraskar on her in 2014.
Her name has also been included in the Limca Book of Records twice, once in 2015 for her book Tinka Tinka Tihar (for being the first book of its kind emerging out of any prison in India) and again in 2017 for her song Tinka Tinka Tihar, sung by the inmates of Tihar jail. She is the founder of the TINKA TINKA Project, a unique series on prison reforms.
