Interesting comparison between popular budget speaker - Edifier R1280T, and compact studio monitor - Presonus Eris E4.5. Both are almost the same sizewise, but for the price of Eris E4.5 You could get two pairs of R1280T. Does this price difference is reflected in the sound quality? My short answer would be yes. Presonus has superior midrange and top end quality, sounds more open, natural and neutral with good overall balance. Edifier on the other hand has strong bass emphasis that is enjoyable but not very "true to source". What do You think? Would You pay twice as much for Presonus or You would get Edifier and save the money? Let me know in the comments below. Cheers!
