A very basic demo on winter sowing. In this case, Cardinal Flower seeds are very tiny and so winter sowing helps them germinate because they don't compete with other plants to get light they need for germination. We winter sow some of our seeds but not all. We definitely leave most of them for the birds who need them during the winter months.
