Pool pump motor and WhisperFlo replacement. VivoHome housing and pump saves $900.
For this DIY, I had to replace a Pentair 2 HP WhisperFlo pump housing that cracked during the Texas Winter storms. It was going to be over $1200 for the WhisperFlo so I opted to try out the VIVOHome 2 HP Pump available from Amazon for $249. It ended up being a great replacement.
The documentation on the wiring was lacking, but the install was super easy, but since there wasn't any wiring documentation I made the DIY video to make sure anyone wanting to install this cost saving pump was able to do so with the confidence that it is going to work.
The pump runs quiet, but it does get hot while running. See the link below for where to find this replacement pump:

I also found one on EBAY that was open box for $100 less; however, it came in missing key parts. For under $300 repair after including the cost for PVC cement, and unions from the Home Depot, I would just purchase the new kit from Amazon. If you ever need to replace it for some reason you can always roll the dice on your second one and save the $100 bucks.
Please like and subscribe and look out for future DIY projects to include a pool automation video using the Waterway Plastics pool and spa controller, and a 48 inch x 60 inch CNC Plasma Cutting table ( targeting a budget under $1000 including the plasma cutter).
