More about Quanikqua “Q” Bryant (Lighting Designer)
Quanikqua, a South Florida native, began her career at the age of 16. She was a former student, summer intern, and lighting technician at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center in Miami; where she designed 10 productions, before attending Miami Dade College. In 2011, she started working at the New World Symphony as Lighting Technician. At the New World Symphony, she designed for several conferences, seminars, rentals, and orchestral concerts. In the year 2017, Q was employed by the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts as Head Electrician in the Carnival Studio Theater. During her employment, she designed for Peter London Global Dance Company and The Last Jimmy, A Hip Hop Musical featuring Dice Raw. This year, she designed for AACPA presents: Live on the Plaza and CommuniTea Dance 2021, Pride Marketplace. Her latest Lighting Design is available at arshtcenter.org for Pioneer Winter’s newest project, Birds of Paradise. Presently she’s employed by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) as Head Electrician in the Amateur Theater. She’s pleased to design her first show here at GableStage.

Katie Christie is a visionary leader with a passion for inclusion, justice, and the arts. Katie has been extensively trained in the performing arts, EDI, and Antiracism and has spent more than 30 years working professionally at various organizations, schools, and institutions Including, Roundabout Theatre Company, The YWCA, YoungArts and Yale School of Drama.
