**This is not a sponsored video and I paid for these with my own money.**
With the cold days here I needed some warmth on my bike. I only had summer gloves with a pair of thin normal winter gloves inside. This was OK but not ideal. My first action was to buy a pair of winter motorbike gloves. What a difference. I also wanted some heated grips but didn’t want a complex install or modify the Super Meteor 650.
After some research I settled on the UltimateAddons USB Powered Clip On Heated Grips. Full details and specifications can be found on their website:

They cost £69.99 though I got mine for £62.99 (Price as of December 2024). They seemed an ideal solution and could be run from a power bank or by utilising the on-board USB socket of the Super Meteor. I saw a positive 5-star review from a Super Meteor owner so I didn’t have any worries that they wouldn’t fit the bike.
The install process was easy. It took around 5 minutes. I needed a USB extension lead to reach the handlebars from the location of the Super Meteor’s USB socket in the locked side panel on the left hand side. I looped it around the air filter and took it under the frame and tank. There is barely any wire showing which is good for looks.
The grips themselves are connected via a USB cable. They simply clip on to the existing grips and there is no movement even after several vigorous twists of the throttle. They also didn’t affect the operation of the throttle in any way.
I used the rubber cable ties already on the handlebars to tidy the cables up, leaving some slack on the throttle side to allow it to twist without snagging or breaking the cable. They look very neat and tidy on the bike.
They are a bit short and don’t provide heat on both sides but while wearing gloves and testing them after install they provided enough heat to the my palms and fingers.
I am happy with the purchase and can’t wait to try them out properly. They seem an ideal solution for those with several bikes, or those who don’t want to modify their bike. I like that I can remove them easily enough within a couple of minutes.
Look out for a review of them being used on the bike when I can find my Osmo Action 3.
