Michael Burry is one of the most successful investors in the world, and he is predicting a worsening economic recession for the US. With the Fed locked in a struggle between inflation and recession, Burry is starting to invest in cheap companies with a high level of free cash flow. This gives the companies optionality in how to deploy their cash, though most will likely use it to buy back stock at rock-bottom prices, according to Burry. This will be especially important if we see a second stock market crash in 2022 or even a 2023 stock market crash.

Burry has shown an exceptional ability to predict when the stock market is going to crash. He did it in 2000 with the dot com bubble and in 2008 with the subprime mortgage crisis. This has led many online to start following his investment advice for their own portfolios. And more recently he successfully avoided the most recent market correction by selling out of all of his stock position late last year.
