The B2 type rolling stock, manufactured by CSR Zhuzhou, is the second oldest model operating on Guangzhou Metro Line 3.

The B2 type is fitted with Siemens IGBT-VVVF traction control system, has a design maximum speed of 135km/h and a service maximum speed of 120km/h. These trains largely operate the section from Kechun up to Airport South (Guangzhou Baiyun Airport).
