The Spanish Steps are one of the most celebrated monuments in Rome, Italy. Built by the French – not the Spanish - in the 18th century to connect the Spanish embassy at the bottom to the church to the church of Trinità dei Monti at the top, the stylish 135 steps were immortalized in the film “Roman Holiday” and have become a must visit destination in the “Eternal City"!
