In a landmark development for regional commuters, India's inaugural Regional Rail initiative, known as RAPIDX, is underway with the construction of its first corridor spanning an impressive 82 kilometers between Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.

The focal point of this exciting project is the 17-kilometer Priority Section, stretching between Sahibabad and the Duhai Depot. It is slated to commence passenger operations from the highly anticipated inauguration date of October 21, 2023. Commuters can access five stations along this critical route: Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot.

RAPIDX is revolutionizing regional transportation with its state-of-the-art trains, each comprising six coaches designed to accommodate a total of around 1700 commuters. This spacious configuration caters to both seated and standing passengers. Standard coaches boast an impressive 72 seats, while Premium coaches provide 62 seats for a comfortable and efficient commuting experience.
