Long COVID is a term to describe the effects of COVID-19 that persist for 12 weeks or more after you first get the virus. About 1 in 10 people who test positive for the virus will end up having long COVID. Unfortunately because COVID-19 is a new disease we can't predict how long it takes to recover from long COVID. It doesn't seem to be related to how ill you were with the virus in the first place.
