@TheSunbeamAlpineChannel we have had a number of problems with poor quality pattern parts (often made in the Far East) sold as genuine replacement parts for Alpines. Recently two of our cars were getting increasingly reluctant to start. Everything was set correctly but they would churn and churn before finally starting. Eventually we found the culprits, pattern rotor arm and distributor caps. It is well worth paying extra to be certain that you are getting high quality parts, this video illustrates the problem with ignition parts. It gets much more serious and becomes a safety issue if the defective pattern parts are for the brakes or clutch!
