In this video, we explore whisky casks and how different methods of maturation and types of barrels/casks can impart different flavours to your whisky.
We look at whisky sizes (hogshead, sherry butts, etc), first-fill barrels vs refill barrels, where the whisky was previously aged - like bourbon barrels and ex-sherry casks, how scotch is aged and how that affects the whisky (why age statements are important).
