From the DGA Archive: a celebration of the award-winning industry heavyweight Gina Prince-Bythewood.

Prince-Bythewood’s influence on the industry was exemplified by a roster of special guest speakers who were happy to share stories and insights about her including producers Susan Fales-Hill (A Different World) and Felicia D. Henderson (The Quad), actors Aisha Hinds (Shots Fired) and Sanaa Lathan (Love & Basketball), editor Terilyn A. Shropshire (The Secret Life of Bees), and Lena Waithe (Master of None). The event also included a Q&A moderated by Director Robert Townsend (The Five Heartbearts).

"As artists you want to entertain absolutely, but the fact that we have a platform...it just seems that we have a responsibility to use that platform in a positive way," said Prince-Bythewood.
