'The Royal Scotsman' luxury train at Bangor on Thursday, 29th September, 2022. This train caters mainly for well-off overseas visitors, and tours Scotland, Wales and England. It was powered by 66746 & 66743 in top-and-tail mode. Having stabled overnight at Llandudno Junction, it ran to Bangor at about 05:00, where it stabled for a couple of hours, before proceeding to Holyhead. This video shows it arriving back from Holyhead at 08:57, and then returning empty-stock to Holyhead, where it rested until 17:00. Stock movements from the up platform to the down main line are uncommon. The train is shown again arriving from Holyhead empty-stock, then, having picked up its passengers (who had been on coach trips to local tourist attractions) departing for Gloucester.
Also shown is a Class 67 loco-hauled Cardiff service.
Usual apologies for camera-shake.
