Restoring a Rare Richard Watch with AS 1298 Movement | Vintage Watch Restoration

In this video, I’m restoring a rare Richard watch featuring the AS 1298 movement (Adolph Schild S.A.), a bumper automatic mechanism produced since 1946. This vintage movement is unique, offering a 36-hour power reserve with three hands and a central second.

The restoration process includes:
• Servicing the AS 1298 movement
• Replacing broken parts
• Restoring the case, case-back, and hands

This Richard watch has no additional complications, making it a fascinating example of classic watchmaking.
