Tread Wear
The tread wear grade is essentially how soft the rubber is. It can range anywhere from 30 for a set of very sticky racing tires, to 500+ for tires that are hard and specifically designed for highway use.
Traction
A tire’s ability to stop on wet asphalt. Ratings can be given as AA, A, B, or C. A ‘C’ tire will provide less traction as a ‘A’ tire.
PROPER TIRE INFLATION
To make sure you have your tires pumped to the correct PSI, don’t look at your tires, look at the tire placard found in the driver’s side door jamb. It will indicate what your tires should be inflated to.
