Budaun SSP Alok Priyadarshi Wednesday said individual identified as Sajid allegedly entered a residence yesterday at approximately 7:30 pm, proceeding to the terrace where children were playing. It's alleged that he launched a violent attack on the two children, resulting in their tragic demise. Subsequently, Sajid descended, encountering a crowd attempting to restrain him, but he managed to flee the scene. Law enforcement promptly mobilized upon receiving information about his escape.During the pursuit, Sajid purportedly opened fire at the police, prompting them to respond with retaliatory force, resulting in his demise. Authorities have recovered both the murder weapon and a revolver believed to be used by the accused. Additionally, the family of the deceased children has implicated Javed, the brother of the accused, in the FIR. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him expeditiously.According to the bereaved family, Sajid had allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 from the father of the deceased children prior to the tragic incident.
