In this video, I will briefly explain the wheat seed sowing time in Pakistan.
Wheat seed should be sown at cool temperature below 30 degree Celsius. High temperature is not favourable for wheat crop. Ideal temperature for wheat crop is 20 to 25 degree centigrade. Wheat seed needs 25 to 30 degrees centigrade for its germination. Ideal temperature for tillering of wheat plant is 15 to 20 degree centigrade. Ideal temperature for reproductive stages of wheat plant is 20 to 25 degree centigrade.
High temperature at sowing time may cause poor tillering, early spike emergence etc.
Our growers need to consider optimum sowing time of wheat before starting plantation.
