Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of National Highway project in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi on January 19. While addressing the public, PM Modi said that the Government of Karnataka has chosen the path of good governance and harmony which Lord Basaveshwara gave to the country. Adding further, he said that those who ruled the country for a long time took votes of deprived sections of society by giving slogans but didn't take enough steps for their development. He said, “The Government of Karnataka has chosen the path of good governance and harmony which Lord Basaveshwara gave to the country and the world centuries ago. Lord Basaveshwara gave a model of social justice and democracy to the world from a platform like Anubhav Mandapam.” “Those who ruled the country for a long time took votes of deprived sections of society by giving slogans but didn't take enough steps for their development. We are working to empower them and these sections are getting their rights,” added PM Modi.
