Bharat Ratna Professor C.N.R. Rao enthralls and embroils UPES
Chintamani Nagesa Ramachandra Rao (commonly known as Prof. C.N.R. Rao) is one of the foremost solid-state and materials chemists. Prof. Rao’s life is a true example of a life in science. His life has evolved around sciences. He is one of the most quoted and decorated living scientists in the world today. His research focuses on the characterization, synthesis and design of new materials.
Prof Rao has published over 1,700 research papers and has written over 48 books, some of which have come to be regarded as classics. He has around 70,000 citations with an h-index of over 121.
Prof Rao’s landmark visit at UPES during 25-27 Apr’15 included two distinguished lectures to the faculty and students

2. Celebration of Science
Prof Rao was also the Chief Guest during the Bi-annual R&D C3 Research Award Ceremony.
