Recently Installed a SMIC, throttle body hose, and Turbo inlet pipe.
after install, I took it for a drive to find this.. so I went back to the shop and visually checked and tightened all clamps associated with the install.. test to showed same results. car falling flat on its face at just over 4000rpm. so I checked MAF, MAP, and rechecked all fittings and hose clamps.. still same result.. so I went and bought a new MAP sensor and a New Forge Diverter Valve( because the old one was showing wear). still same result.. after talking with the Company that sold me the SMIC.. they said this is limp mode.. and its software related.. after talking with the software company, they said it was overboosing due to a shitty quality SMIC and the boost requested and the boost actually flowing through the core is less.. causing the readings to be wonky and thus overboost limp mode.. Other people suggested to me its the software and to go with a different tune. before doing this I went to a local shop that has a VAG COM to see if there were any boost related codes.. the car had 0 codes.. although I was not able to data log because I had to go back to work, and the shop scanned it as a favor, clearly there is something im missing here.. so I made a home made Boost leak tester and tested the car.. found a small vacuum leak ontop of the Diverter Valve from the hose being slightly bent to accomidate the DV's new position.. I retightened the Vac line and moved it so there was no tension on it.. same result.. 4k flat on its face.. Anyone else had this or know what I should do??
