The Bukovel ski resort is the biggest ski resort in Ukraine - and one of the most popular! We went during one of the peak ski seasons in Ukraine, the week between New Year and Orthodox Christmas (January 7) to see how it compared to our other favorite Ukrainian ski resorts, Dragobrat and Slavske. With 19 lifts on 5 mountains, 68 ski runs, including blue red and black runs, and 68 km of slope, there’s definitely plenty to keep ski enthusiasts happy! And the Bukovel ski resort is also a great place to learn! I did a two hour lesson, and by the end of it I was going down a blue slope! It does live up to its reputation as Ukraine’s most expensive ski resort, especially during this peak week when they bring prices up to their highest. However, it is easy to navigate, even if you don’t speak Ukrainian, and there’s plenty to do to keep skiers and non-skiers alike happy. In this video I show you what to do at Bukovel if you ski (or if you don’t!) in winter. Have any questions about visiting Bukovel, Ukraine? Drop them in the comments below, and I’ll do my best to answer them!
