This Little innocent Phillips clock radio model number aj3115 from London England was sitting in a stock room at Argos until ktv came and brought it. He used it daily to get him up and keep him on track of time However it wasn't enough dual alarm radio sleep mode. Too basic. So it fell into the hands of me with a screwdriver I took it apart and realised there is more potential for this radio due to space inside. So i thought about my two biggest problems at night My phone's battery being low and having just a USB cable near and the ability to be able to play music at the bedside So i thought and came up with a way of doing that.
The clock radio got taken apart drilled into to mount new components resistors LEDs a new power supply a 12v supply added inside for the phone charging board. From an empty space to a spaghetti of wires and circuit boards. My dream had come true I can now charge my phone at the comfort of my bedside and listen to music in the comfort of my own bed. this basic Phillips clock radio has turned into the super clock radio.
could have brought one however that's too easy I wanted a challenge a moment of thought of design and this is what I came up with. Now using a really nice primetone 8-ohm speaker for the aux audio output and 2 aa batteries for the power of the amplifier. this basic Phillips Clock radio Surviveed its ktv surgery and is now the Super Phillips clock radio
