Visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his wife Cheng Hong watched an art show at Havana's Grand Theater on Sunday evening, accompanied by Miguel Diaz-Canel, first vice-president of the Cuban Council of State and Council of Ministers.
Chinese martial arts, acrobatics and dances were performed at the show, which helped demonstrate both ancient and modern Chinese cultures. And Cuban artists danced and sang folk songs to show their hospitality.
Li and the Cuban leader talked about each country's culture when they watched the show and agreed that cultural exchanges between the two countries, which help strengthen friendship, should be increased.
The art show was part of a series of activities for the 2016 "China-Latin America Hand in Hand" cultural exchange year, which was launched in the Caribbean countries as well as Latin America and China.
