The Pilot Plant of Hamburg Dresdner Maschinenfabriken GmbH offers cocoa processors or chocolate manufacturing companies to perform trials from the raw cocoa bean to liquid chocolate mass with scalable lab equipment using standard industrial processes.
The facility offers different continuous roasting technologies for cocoa beans, batch roasting techniques for cocoa nibs and equipment for winnowing, grinding and pressing of cocoa mass. Equipment for debacterization and alkalization is also available.
For the production of chocolate masses, this state-of-the art pilot plant is equipped with a mixer, pre-refiner, five-roll refiner as well as a vertical single-shaft conche and a horizontal double-shaft conche and soon will be completed by a continous conche. Alternatively, the chocolate mass can also be produced on an all-in-one refiner / conche of the Scottish sister company MacIntyre Chocolate Systems.
