At the end of April 1945 inside of the Fuhrerbunker in Berlin, Adolf Hitler made his decision to sort out his final affairs before he would die inside of his bunker. He handed over power to Goebbels and Admiral Donitz, but then inside of his study alongside his wife Eva Braun, Hitler shot himself with his pistol. Hitler did have two pistols, but the whereabouts of these pistols are today not the most well known and they were actually taken out of Hitler's study. These were the very weapons that Hitler used in his death.
The Walther PP pistol owned by Hitler was allegedly taken by Hitler Youth leader Artur Axmann, and he then claimed that these were buried next to a bridge in Berlin. But the Walther PPK owned by Hitler was also taken by an SS leader, but this then fell into the hands of the Soviet Red Army, and it was claimed that this was then landed on the desk of Joseph Stalin.
