Anthony McAndrew – Business Development Manager, Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)
Anthony McAndrew is a Business Development Manager at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), where he is focused on
supporting the UK Aerospace, Defence & Security sector with their industrial challenges.
Anthony has over 15 years of R&D and manufacturing experience, having worked at several reputable institutions including TWI,
Cranfield University and Gigasat. A specialist in the technologies of friction welding and additive manufacturing, Anthony has published
over 20 technical articles, which have been cited over 600 times.
Anthony obtained a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from Cranfield University and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (1st
Class Honours) from The University of Hertfordshire. Anthony is also a Chartered Engineer with The Welding Institute.
